-- Veedersburg - Mrs. Mary Shoaf, 55, a native and former resident of this community died at 11 p.m. Wednesday (18 Dec) in a Phoenix, AZ hospital after an illness of two years. The family left here 16 years ago. She was born June 18, 1908 to sam and Daisy Romine Stewart. Survivors include the husband, Walter Shoaf; four children, Marvena and David, at home; Mrs. Daisy Ann Thiel of Wooster, Ohio and Guy of the US Army, stationed in Germany; a sister, Mrs. Guy Lucas and a brother, Vernon Stewart, both of Danville, IL. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene at Coolidge, AZ with burial there.
