SHOAF, Loren

Loren Shoaf, 20, Kingman, was drowned at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lake Michigan when a boat in which he and three companions were riding capsized. The others swam to shore.

  The body was recovered 20 minutes later and death was believed due to a heart attack and shock. Mr. Shoaf, who was employed in East Chicago, had spent a week of his vacation in Kingman.

  Funeral services were at the Kingman EUB Church at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Leslie Smith officiated and the Woodrow Funeral Home was in charge of burial in Fraternal Cemetery.

  Mr. Shoaf was born Sept. 11, 1928 in Fountain County, son of Ernest and Merle Brooks Shoaf.
  Surviving are his parents and three brothers, Owen, Hammond, Ind. and Delbert and Ray, at home.
