Edgar Shoaf, 66 former Kingman business man and town marshall for 4 years died at his home in Kingman Wednesday morning. He had been ill for sometime past with complication of diseases. He was born near Wallace on Aug 12, 1866 the son of Jacob Shoaf and spent his earlier life in that section. Several years ago he moved on a farm West of Kingman and became identified with that community. After he served as town marshall he took over the management of the Fountain Produce Company branch at Kingman and relinquished it because of ill health. He was a member of the Modern Woodman Order. He leaves his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Everett Ratcliff, of Kingman, a son, Paul of Attica, a sister, Mrs. Ellen McCray of Kingman, and two brothers, Dee Shoaf of Wallace and Dr. F. A. Shoaf of Kokomo. Funeral services are to be held from the home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock with burial in the Kingman Fraternal cemetery.

Kingman June 3 – Funeral services for Edgar SHOAF, 66, who died Wednesday morning at his home were held Friday afternoon at 2. The pall bearers were Leslie Gillum; Dr. Tribbett; Ode Drake; Elmer Alward and Herschel Eubank; Rev. Tharp, pastor of the Christian Church was in charge of the services. Burial was in Fraternal cemetery.
