Dorothy Ellen Shoaf, 88, Covington, formerly of Mellott, died 6:50 p.m. Saturday in The Waters of Covington nursing home. Mrs. Shoaf was a homemaker. She had lived at Covington for a year and was a Wingate High School graduate. Her memberships included Mellott United Church of Christ. She was born May 30, 1915, to Robert and May Cuttrel Allhands at Wingate. She married Roy Shoaf. He is deceased. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Norrod, San Bernadino, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Rice, West Lafayette; a brother, Raymond, Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews. A brother and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Indiana 25 S., Waynetown. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call one hour prior to Tuesday services. - kbz
