SHOAF, Dee - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Word was received here early yesterday morning that MRS. DEE SHOAF of Wallace, who was operated upon for appendicitis on Saturday, June 6th, is in a serious condition as a result of the operation and rumors are entertained to the effect that her recovery is very doubtful.   Mrs. Shoaf  is the mother of Miss Ura Shoaf, who was awarded the first prize for the prettiest girl in the state a few years ago, and has many friends here who will regret to learn of her serious condition. -s

LATER – Just before going to press we received a telephone message stating that Mrs. Shoaf passed quietly away at 3:15 yesterday afternoon.  Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed up to the time of going to press. – thanks so much to “S”
