 Burl R. Shoaf, 80, 709 Indiana Street, Veedersburg, died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, December 9, at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville.
  Born October 22, 1903 in Fountain County, he was the son of Everett and Cecilie Kerr Shoaf. On January 27, 1922 he married Velma Florey in Covington, who survives. He was retired from C and D Battery in Attica and was a member of Sterling Christian Church.
     Other survivors include a son, Carlyle Shoaf of Vancouver, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Francis Wilson of Hillsboro and Mrs. Joseph Holt of Veedersburg; a brother, Norman “Skeet” Shoaf of Danville, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Mitchell of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Geneva Rutledge of Lebanon; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a granddaughter.
  Services were conducted Monday at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. – thanks so very much to S
