SHIRLING, Motie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lebanon- Motie H. Shirling, 65, of Rt 6, Lebanon, former coowner of Shirling & Watson Lime Co. here and a secretary-treasurer of Center Twp Farm Bureau for several years died Wednesday in Witham Hospital here. He was a member, deacon and former trustee of Elizaville Chrsitian Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Lebanon. He was graduated from Whitestown HS. He was born in Sunman on July 26, 1912, a son of Ulysses and Ida Z. Bowers Shirling. He was married to Martha Foxworthy on on Oct 13, 1940 at Hillsboro. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J.F. (Lesta) Gambee of South Bend and Mrs. Terry (Sharon) Finney of Rt 6, Lebanon; a son, Howard Eugene of Linden and 8 grandcildren. He was preceded in death by a brother . Services will be at 1:30 p..m Saturday in Myers Mortuary here with Rev. Harlan Kincade officiating. Burial in Newtown Cemetery of Newtown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight.
