Rev. Marion Sherrill, aged 87, died suddenly Thursday morning at Kingman as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. A former United Brethren minister, he began preaching in 1893, retiring a few years ago.
  He was born June 26, 1857 near Watseka, Ill., the son of William and Tilda Bean Sherrill. He was married to Sarah Smith in 1881, and she died in 1911. On June 27, 1913, he was married to Bertha Laughlin, who survives.
  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bloomingdale and the United Brethren Church of Kingman.
  Other survivors in addition to Mrs. Sherrill are two sons, Samuel of Indianapolis and Bert of Terre Haute.
  Funeral services were held at one o’clock Saturday afternoon at the United Brethren Church in Kingman, Rev. B. H. Spratt officiating. Burial was made near Ladoga. - S

The Rev. M.F. Sherrill, a retired United Brethren minister who had been in failing health for a long time, suddenly became very ill Wednesday night and passed away about 2:00 (9:00?) o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Hadley of Kingman.  He and his wife had gone to the Hadley home to help them as Mrs. Hadley had recently fractured both arms.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, two sons, SR Sherrill of Indianapolis; and BO Sherrill of Terre Haute; one brother, Rev. John Sherrill of Rockville; two grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Rev. Sherrill had served pastorates in Illinois, Upper Wabash and White River Conferences of the United Brethren Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the Kingman United Brethren Church with the pastor, the Rev. BH Spratt, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Winfred Sherrill, Rev. John McHargue and Rev. Mr. Hunt of Indianapolis. Music was furnished by a male quartet composed of William Sowers, Scott Ratcliff, Walter Dennis and Hiram Brown, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Elsie Deverter. The Masonic ritual was given by Delbert Ratcliff and interment was made near Ladoga.
