WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Flora E. Shelley, 99, of Williamsport, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 3, 1968) in the Williamsport Community Hospital where she had been a patient two days. She had been a patient at the Aldred Nursing Home in Attica two years. Born in Alliance, Ohio, Sept. 4, 1868, she was the daughter of Edward and Anna Fraulick Hellwig. She married Charles M. Shelley in 1930. He preceded her in death in August, 1966. Mrs. Shelley, who would have been 100 today, had been active in church work and enjoyed sewing for her children. An open house was held last Sunday at the Community Building in Ravine Park at Attica in her honor. Approximately 100 attended. Guests and relatives were present from Grand Junction, Colo.; Fort Wayne, Hammond, Terre Haute and Plainfield. She had received special greetings from President Lyndon B. Johnson, Governor Roger Branigin, and a senator from Colorado. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Martin of Attica; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crowmer-Siddens Mortuary in Williamsport with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. --typed by Walt W
