Kenneth L. Sheetz, Danville, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 30, at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Rosedale, to Joseph William and Mary Ethel Wilson Sheetz. He attended Bridgeton schools and he enjoyed working on automobiles. He married Hazel W. Shutes Oct. 21, 1944. She survives. He formerly worked at the Wabash Railroad and St. Elizabeth Hospital maintenance department. He was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene. He was a former member of the Railroaders Union. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Sandy Sheetz and Betty Umphenour; a grandson, William Ray Umphenour II, all of Danville; four brothers, Richard, Rantoul; John, Covington; James, Hoopeston and Lynn Crothers, Lapaz; five sisters, Mary Etta Thompson, Cloverdale; Marjorie Bradfield, Rockville; Bertha Sheetz, Des Plaines; Lillian Akers, Plymouth, and Loretta Stultz, Lafayette. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pape Memorial Home and Gardens, Danville, with the Rev. William Burton officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
