SHEETS, Lydia Rose Fix - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Mrs. Lydia Rose (Mom) Sheets, age 83 of Attica died at 9 p.m. Friday May 17 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where she had been a patient for 13 weeks.  She had been ill since last January.  Mrs. Sheets was born April 5, 1885 in Locust Grove, the daughter of Daniel J. and Louise Ungerer Fix and she was a resident of Attica 81 years.  She was married June 24, 1906 at Lafayette to Frank Sheets, who preceded her in death on Jan 16, 1943. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Attica, the Wabash Temple 439 and Pythian Sisters of which she was a temple mother and charter member. Survivors include one son, Daniel Sheets of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Zick of Beaumont, Texas and Mrs. Burns (Florence) Claypool, also of Beaumont; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the DeSutter Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Vernon W. Seaton, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
