Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Roy Shaw, 65, of 1009 W. Williams, died at 1:45 a.m. today (Jan. 26, 1970) at Lake View Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since Jan. 20. He had been in ill health since October. Mr. Shaw was born on Oct. 14, 1904, in Mellott, Ind., son of Albert and Oakie Strader Shaw. He had lived in this vicinity all of his life. Surviving are his widow, Hazel, whom he married on May 28, 1932, in Danville; mother, Mrs. Oakie LaBau of Danville; and two brothers, Nye LaBau of DeKalb, and Edward LaBau of Danville. Employed by Hall Freight Lines and Grab-It-Here Stores, his hobby was sports. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Barton Johnson of the Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W
