Mrs. Rona Pauline Shapiro, 63, of 1003 N. Vermilion, died at 5:40 a.m. today (Jan. 31, 1974) at Lake View Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 12. She was the widow of Leo Shapiro, who died Jan. 6. They were married in Stone Bluff, Ind., in May of 1928. She was born Sept. 3, 1910, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hancock. Survivors include a son, Richard E. of Greenwood, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Shirlee) Lockwood of Des Plaines; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She had worked at General Electric Co. for 27 years. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery in Veedersburg, Ind. Other arrangements are incomplete at Pape Memorial Home. --waw
