Yeddo - James Shanks, 77, a retired farmer, died at 2 a.m. Sunday (Jan 18, 1953) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient about two weeks. Mr. Shanks was born September 10, 1875 in Fountain County, Ind, son of Andrew and Celie Drullinger SHanks. He was a member of Yeddo Masonic Lodge 636, Order of Eastern Star and Centennial Cemetery League. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ida O'Donnell of Cayuga and several nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and his parents. The body is at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman where it will remain until time for services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Centennial Evangelical United Brethren Church. The Rev. Leslie Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with graveside Masonic rites.   -- kbz
