SHANKS, Elwood - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Funeral services for Elwood Shanks, 80, retired farmer who died Saturday evening at Lake View Hospital were held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Centennial United Brethren Church. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery with Spencer, undertake of Kingman, in charge.

Mr. Shanks, who had never married made his home with his brother, James. He was a member of the Centennial Church and of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star of Yeddo.  He was born Feb 19, 1864 in Fountain County, a son of Audrey and Celia Drollinger Shanks.  

Surviving are the brother with whom he lived and one sister, Mrs. Ida O'Dennell of Cayuga.  --- transcribed by kbz
