SHAFFER, Homer Jonathan - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Homer J. Shaffer, 91, retired farmer of the Veedersburg community died Sunday night, June 22nd from the infirmities of old age.  Born at Aetna, Ohio Sept 28, 1856 Mr. Shaffer was the son of David and Sarah Arnold Shaffer.  He was married June 28, 1920 to Christina Anderson of Covington. They had resided in Veedersburg community for the past several years. The widow survives together with a foster-duughter, Mrs. Hazel McMurray of Herrin, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Cora Frank of Daytona Beach, Cal and two brothers, Arthur Shaffer of Delphia and Charles Shaffer of Camden.  Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Fishero Funeral Home. Burial in Bonebrake cemetery.   --- kbz
