Mrs. Goldie Shaffer, age 86, of 908 McDonald St., Attica, a life resident of the Attica community, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Alward Nursing Home in Attica. She had been ill three years and had been a patient at the nursing home for several months. Mrs. Shaffer was born June 1, 1880, in Fountain County, the daughter of William and Martha Ward Glover. She was married Oct. 18, 1898, in Veedersburg, to William Shaffer, who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1965. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include: one son, Lloyd of Attica, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. Ronnie DeLong officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. --typed by Walt W
