VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Roxie Stonebraker Shafer, 88, a native of Veedersburg, died Wednesday in her home at South Holland, Mich. She was born June 3, 1892. She married Roy Shafer who preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Evelyn Rollinson of Oregon, Irene Doyle of Sullivan, Ill., and Maxine Gibbons and Mary Hanniger of South Holland; three sons, Paul, Jerry and Hubert of South Holland; 10 grandchildren, a n d nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, three brothers and three sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parham Funeral Home here with burial in Rockfield Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Woods will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. - walt w

Veedersburg, Ind.—Mrs. Roxie Stonebraker Shafer, 88, died Wednesday (Sept. 4, 1974) in her home in South Holland, Ill.
1892, she was the daughter of Jim and Mary Livingston Stonebraker. She was married to Roy Shafer, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Evelyn Rollinson of Oregon, Mrs. Irene Doyle of Sullivan, Ill., and Mrs. Maxine Gibbons and Mrs. Mary Hanniger both of South Holland, Ill., three sons Paul, Jerry, and Herbert, all of South Holland; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, three brothers and three sisters.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Parham Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. -s
