SHAFER, Howard - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown Nov 13 - Howard Shafer, 89 died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. JB Kline near Waynetown. He had been ill two weeks. Born March 8, 1860, southwest of here in Fountain County, he was the son of David and Mary Jane Cedars Shafer.  He married Mary Bruner, Dec 6, 1883. A farmer, he was a member of the Christian Union Church.

Surviving are a son, Walter of Danville, Ill, a sister, Mrs. SM Nixon of Kokomo two grandchildren and a great grandchild.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Christian Union Church with Rev. Everett Nixon of Kokomo in charge. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grenard and Servies funeral home here. - kbz
