SHADE, Sarah Hibbs - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Aug 3- Mrs. Sarah Hibbs SHADE 84 resident of this community for many years died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Etta Gebhart near Veedersburg Sunday night after an illness of two weeks. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. The deceased was born July 26, 1854. She was married many years ago to Madison Shade whose death occurred 8 years ago. Throughout their married life, Mr. and Mrs. Shade resided on the same farm 2 1/2 miles north of Hillsboro. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Shade had made her home with her daughter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gebhart and Mrs. Myrlte DeAth of Mellott; two sons, Marion of SD and Sherman of Hillsboro; a brother, James Hibbs who resides in MN and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home of Wm. D. Gebhart near Veedersburg Tues afternoon at 2 with Rev JE Fry of Hillsboro in charge. Burial will be in Rose HIll cemetery here.
