SHADE, Moses

Hillsboro, Ind Dec 24 - Word was received here Monday of the death of Moses Shade, of Delevan, Illinois, who was born and grew to manhood on a farm north of here, his parents having been among the early settlers of this vicinity. About 30 years ago Mr. Shade and family moved to Illinois where he was engaged in farming for several years. For the pat 10 year she has been an invalid and his death was due to kidney trouble. He was 78 yeaers of age. He is survived by his widow, a son, Clarence Shade and daughter Mrs. Lizzie Stanfer, both of whom reside on farms near Delavan. Two brothers, Madison Shade of Hillsboro and John Shade, of Crawfordsville also survive. Four brothers, Lafayette Shade, Jake Shade, Simon Shade and Dan Shade, having preceded hi in death in the last 3 years. The funeral services wer eheld from the home in Delavan Wednesday monring. Two nephews, Sherman Shade and Will Shade of this vicinity attended the funeral.
