SHADE, Garfield - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Garfield Shade, 92, a retired Hillsboro farmer died today in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was a member of Hilsboro United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of K of P. He attended Old Germany School near Hillsboro and Hillsboro School. He was born May 13, 1881, near Hillsboro to Lafayette and Eliza Wheeler Shade. He marreied Mary M. Shade March 4, 1905. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mabel M. Shade and son, Ernest D. Shade both of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Funeral serivces will be 2 p.m .Wednesday in Crumley-William Funeral Home here with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm. Tuesday.
