Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Funeral services were held at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg Friday afternoon, Jan. 13, for Miss Lelia V. St. Clair, a life resident of the Veedersburg community, who died Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville, after being a patient there since December 8. She underwent surgery on December 15 at which time it was found that her illness was incurable. The Rev. Ralph Leon Sell officiated. Burial was in the Rockfield Cemetery. She was the daughter of John and Annie St. Clair and spent her entire life in Veedersburg except for a few years when she worked as a telephone operator in Chicago. Upon her return to Veedersburg, she was also employed as night telephone operator until her retirement. Miss St. Clair was a liberal contributor to all community charitable efforts and made many gifts to individuals who were in need, often anonymously. She was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church and the Covington Business & Professional Women's Club. Miss St. Clair was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Miss Anna St. Clair, Mrs. Stella Wall and Mrs. Clara Glascock.   --typed by Walt W
