VEEDERSBURG — Edna E. (Wienke) Seymour, 95, formerly of 806 W. State St., Veedersburg, died at 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2001 in The Waters of Covington. She was born July 18, 1905 in Broadlands, Ill., the daughter of Walter Wienke and Dora Ziemer Wienke Koss. She married Robert G. Seymour Sept. 6, 1924 in Seymour, Ill. He preceded in death Feb. 1, 1993. She was raised and educated in Broadlands and had lived at Route 3, Veedersburg from 1941 until moving to Veedersburg in 1991. She was a member of the Number Ten Christian Church in Armstrong, Ill. She was a homemaker. She liked to crochet and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: two daughters, Helen (Gene) Miller and Bernice Merrill, both of Veedersburg; four sons, Walter (Frances) Seymour, Mellott, Lyle (Nancy) Seymour, Newtown, Don (Glenda) Seymour, Hillsboro and Rolland (Sharon) Seymour, Route 3, Veedersburg; a brother, Chris (Mable) Koss, Monticello, Ill.; two sisters, Bertha Hannah and Pauline Ziegler, both of Monticello, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ervin Seymour; three brothers, Carless and Walter Wienke and Richard Koss; and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – jlr
