Covington, Ind., July 4—W. C. B. Sewell, father-in-law of United States treasurer E. H. Nebeker, died at his residence in this city late Thursday evening. He was about 80 years of age and had been a resident of this city since 1826. He was probably the largest land owner and the wealthiest man in this county. He was confined to his room but two days, the immediate cause of his death being an attack of pneumonia. The deceased was the father of Barton Sewell, who is at the head of the National Smelting Works of Chicago. The United States treasurer’s family arrived here Thursday night.

CB Sewell, of Covington, who died last Thursday was the father-in-law of US Treasurer Nebeker. He left a large estate to be taken care of and as Mr. Nebeker is the only man who is familiar with all the details of it there is a strong possibility he may resign the office to which he was so recently appointed by President Harrison. Mr. Nebeker is now in Covington.
