Covington, Ind July 12 – Homer B. Sewell, the veteran Fountain County abstractor and noted for his philanthropy to the deserving poor, died today of cancer of the stomach.  He was 70 years old and the last of the Sewell family in Covington.  He was the son of William B. Sewell who helped to lay out the town more than 80 years ago.  Mr. Sewell was a drummer boy in Company E 10th Indiana infantry.  Besides the widow, a brother who is now touring Europe survives.  – kbz

Covington, Ind July 12 – Home Sewell 70 years old and veteran abstracter of titles in this county died at his Washington Street Home here today from stomach trouble and general breakdown, having been confined to his room several months.  He was a brother-in-law of the late US Treasurer, EH Nebeker.  He was said to be able to describe more tracts of Fountain County land offhand than any other person.  He leaves the widow, Mrs. Lena Sewell; one sister, Mrs. EH  Nebeker and one brother, Barton of New York City. - kbz
