Funeral services for Fred M. Sellers, age 74, of Attica, who died Tuesday, July 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. Ronny DeLong officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Mr. Sellers was born Nov. 15, 1891 at State Line, the son of Abraham and Sarah Holmes Sellers. He was married Feb. 26, 1919 to Elizabeth Wright, who survives. He had served 32 years and eight months in the U. S. Army and was a captain at the time of his discharge in 1953. He was a veteran of World War I and II. During World War II, he was in charge of all recruiting in Indiana. He was an electrician and worked 28 years for the Public Service Co. of Indiana, retiring in 1957. Mr. Sellers was a member of the Attica Christian Church, Masonic Lodge and American Legion. Survivors, in addition to the wife, are: one son, Tom of Rantoul, Ill., two brothers, Ralph of Danville, Ill., and Harry of Salisbury, Mo.; and three grandchildren. --waw
