Hand dated 1964

Funeral services for Ray W. Seidle, age 60, of Indianapolis, husband of the former Susan Nelle Krug, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Krug, of Covington, were held Wednesday, July 29, at the Feeney-Kirby Mortuary in Indianapolis. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. Mr. Seidle, a former state employee, who may have been the victim of a beating, died of a perforated ulcer in General Hospital, Indianapolis, on Saturday, July 25. Cause of death was determined by Dr. Dennis J. Nicholas, Marion County Coroner, who performed an autopsy. Nicholas said it could not be determined if Seidle had been beaten, although he had suffered head injuries which caused blood clots on the brain. He was found in his room at the Earle Hotel in Indianapolis on Tuesday, July 21. Seidle was a duplicating machine operator for the Indiana Economic Council under Lt. Gov. Harold W. Hanley and Crawford Parker. He was an investigator for Marion County Prosecutor Herbert M. Spencer from 1935 to 1939. A suspect has been arrested on a preliminary charge of assault and battery in connection with the case.   --typed by Walt W
