Hillsboro—Jesse E. Scott, 66, Route 1, Hillsboro, died Saturday evening at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Danville, Ill.
  He was born Jan. 29, 1923 in Danville, Ill., the son of Harry and Amanda Snooks Scott. He was married March 10, 1946 in Veedersburg to Dorothy Crowder who survives.
  He was a 1941 graduate of Jackson Heights High School. He served in the U. S. Marines from 1943-1946 in the South Pacific. He had lived in the Hillsboro area 60 years. He was a retired farmer and also retired from R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Crawfordsville.
  Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Mary Ann Short, Covington; Zina Lou Foxworthy, Hillsboro, Sue Beth Carlson, Hillsboro, and Sally Jo Scott, Crawfordsville; four sons, William E., Terre Haute; Allen Lee, Attica; David J., Mellott, and Daniel R., at home.
  Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Funeral services will be there at 11 a.m. Wednesday with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. – thanks to S
