DANVILLE, Ill. — Judith Arlene (Padgitt) Schultz, 73, Danville, Ill., died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Ill. She was born July 12, 1933 in Fountain County, the daughter of Lockett and Catherine (Mettee) Padgitt. She was raised by her grandparents, Harry and Jane Padgitt of Veedersburg. She married James Alan Schultz Aug. 10, 1963 in Danville, Ill. He preceded in death Aug. 12, 1985. She and her husband had belonged to the Vermilion Hills Country Club, Danville, Ill. She enjoyed playing golf, bingo, playing cards, going to gambling boats and spending time with her many friends. Survivors include: a sister, Carolyn Saltsgaver, Perrysville; nieces, Pam Siddens and Barbara Allen; nephews, Duane Saltsgaver, Mark Saltsgaver, Steve Allen, Dennis Allen and Robby Allen; great nieces, Kaylee Siddens and Bailey Saltsgaver; great nephews, Matthew Saltsgaver and Shane Siddens; and many other great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Laura Jane on Sept. 10, 1970; her step father, Lowell Allen; and a special friend, Dale Murphy Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Sunset's Covington Chapel, 420 3rd St. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery, Danville, Ill. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Judith's name to the American Cancer Society.
