Mrs. Emma J. Schultz, 84, a resident of Newtown for 66 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amy Dinwiddie, of Waveland, Monday April 22nd after an extended illness. She was born near Covington the daughter

of Jabez W. and Mahala Garner and was married to William Shultz 65 years ago. He died in 1912.  Mrs. Shultz was a charter member of the Newtown Baptist Church. Survivors are one son, Percy SHultz of Wallace; one daughter, Mrs. Dinwiddie of Waveland; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mrs. Everett Kay of Hillsboro is a niece of the deceased.  Funeral services were held from the Newtown Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. HH Elmore in charge and burial was in the Newtown cemetery.
