Wesley E. Schulthes of RR 3, Crawfordsville, age 55, died Thursday, December 9, at his home. He was born in Champaign County, Illinois, September 14, 1927, the son of Henry and Helen Scott Schulthes. In 1947, he married Esther Patrick, who survives. Schulthes was a farmer and Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Wallace Christian Church, Alamo Masonic Lodge, the American Legion and Farm Bureau Co-op.
  Also surviving are two daughters, Lucinda Deener of RR 6, Crawfordsville, and Helen Baird of Lafayette; a son, Les of Terre Haute; a brother, Jay of Danville, Illinois; and four grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Rice Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Jeff Busby and Rev. Robert Patrick officiating.
