SCHMIDT, Fred C. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Williamsport – Fred C. Schmidt, age 75 of Williamsport died Saturday May 10 at the Community Hospital in Williamsport.  He had been ill several years.  He was born in Chicago July 18 1893 the son of Christ and Emily Mayer Schmidt.  He was married to Eva G. Fox March 6, 1918 in Chicago and she survives.  He was a member of the Methodist Church of Williamsport, the VFW of Attica and the American Legion of Williamsport.  He was a civilian employee of the Navy, retired.  He moved to Warren County from San Leandro in 1951 and had lived here since.  Surviving in addition to the wife are one stepson, Myrl Wiley of Chicago; three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; one brother, William C of Tracy, Calif; and one sister, Emily Christen of Chicago. Funeral services were held at Crowmer & Siddens Funeral Home here at 3 p.m. Tuesday, The Rev. Rex Marrs officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery – kbz.
