Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Elizabeth C. Schma 83 a life resident of the Covington community. Mrs. Schma died at Crawfordsville on Wednesday April 8 at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson her daughter following a heart attack. She was born in Nov 1869 at Covington, daughter of John and Pauline Higel Miller. She was married in 1901 to William Peter Schma, who preceded her in death in 1951. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society of the church and of the Merry-Go-Round Club. Surviving are a son, John of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Johnson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Genevieve Sanford of Champaign and 8 grandchildren. – kbz
