Luke Scheifly, age 64, of Scottsdale, Ariz., husband of the former Isabella Sprankle of Covington, died Monday, March 15 at his home. He had been in ill health and two weeks ago had undergone a major operation. He had returned home from the hospital and apparently was getting along satisfactorily when death occurred. He retired in 1960 after being connected with the Bethlehem Steel Co. for many years and he and Mrs. Scheifly moved to Scottsdale from West Virginia. He was born Aug. 3, 1900 in Kingston, Pa., and was married Nov. 20, 1924 at Benton, Ill. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Jack, and two grandchildren, Jack and Jan, of Whittier, Calif. Funeral services and burial will be in Scottsdale Thursday afternoon, March 18. Mrs. Scheifly is related to Mrs. Robert Kieran and Mrs. Homer Royal of Covington. Their mothers were sisters. --typed by Walt W
