SCARLETT, Arthur - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Arthur Raymond Scarlett, age 74 of Attica died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday July 4 at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been ill about 17 months.  Mr. Scarlett was born Dec 5, 1893, near Pence, the son of John and Martha J. Irvin Scarlett.  He was married Dec 16, 1916 at Williamsport to Mary Frances Methis, who survives.  He had resided in Pence as a boy, moved to Williamsport and then to Attica where he spent most of his adult life.  He had been employed at Harrison Steel, Roemer Furniture and Purdue University.  He also had farmed.  He was a member of the Methodist Church and Moose Lodge. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Foster of Attica and two grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.. Sunday at DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. – kbz
