Funeral services were held Friday at Freedom Church for Thomas Sawyer, 84, who died at his home Wednesday in Russellville. Mr. Sawyer was born in Fountain County at Scott's Prarie, Indiana, Nov 19, 1858 a son of James and Hannah Sawyer. He was married AUgust 23, 1891 to Nettie B. Pickett at Waynetown she survives. Besides the widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Todd, Russellville; grandsons Paul Blye, Ernest Blye of Roachdale and Richard Blye, Armed Forces, at Camp Livingston, Louisiana.
