Although the article does not agree with the death cause (although consumption is a lung disease same as TB) and date a bit off but overall, I feel this is the young gal below in the article

Ten days ago a young lady died at Covington, Indiana. She died of consumption and only last spring graduated from the high school with the honors of the class and with the additional record of never having been tardy or absent during her entire school life.  No doubt at her funeral the preacher recited that the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.  The preacher erred.  The Lord did not take away but vaulting ambition and the terrible pressure of the school course most probably took away.  The injustice that is done our children in our public schools is becoming more and more a subject of talk and someday the people will rise in their indignation and do away with much of the present useless if not criminal methods of the public school course.  There are scores of teachers in Hendricks County who believe that the school course is top-heavy, who know that children are being wronged who know that the school course is not giving the child what it should.  Many of these teachers for prudential reasons keep their own counsel.  They might be accused of not being in sympathy with the course and thus love their positions.  Others talk against modern methods in private.  And still the evil grown space.  Our children are turned out of school knowing a little of a great many things but not much of anything. They have not the trained minds in healthy bodies that the children of 15 and 20 years ago had.  The pity of it.  The pity of it all.    --- transcribed by  kbz
