Lawrence William Sasseen, Danville, Illinois, died at 8:21 p.m. Friday, December 23, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois. He was the brother of Mrs. Ed Pundt of Veedersburg.
Lawrence William Sasseen, Danville, Illinois, died at 8:21 p.m. Friday, December 23, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois. He was the brother of Mrs. Ed Pundt of Veedersburg.
Born November 16, 1915 in Clinton, he was the son of William Franklin and Clara Lavina Huffman Sasseen. On September 12, 1942, he married Rosanna E. Lockhart, who survives. He was employed 21 years with the city of Danville, retiring in 1980 from the Parks Department. He formerly worked with K and W Garage in Danville and was a member of Danville Local 1196 Union.
Other survivors include a son, Larry David Sasseen of Danville; a daughter, Marie Antrup of Danville; a brother, Joseph S. Sasseen of Danville; another sister, Mrs. Myrtle Marie Lawyer of Danville; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori, two brothers, Roy and Ray, and a great grandson.
Services were conducted Wednesday at Pape Memorial Home in Danville with Rev. Don Bulla officiating. Burial was at Dodson Cemetery in Kennekek County Park.- thanks
