Waveland, April 28.—Wm. Sappenfield, who lived about 2 miles south of town, attended a meeting of the F. M. B. A. at the Warrick school house Saturday night He was apparently in his usual health until near the close of the meeting when he was suddenly taken with what was thought to to cramp colic. He kept getting worse rapidly and his suffering was so severe that opiates gave him no relief. He was kept at the school house until Monday when he was removed to his home about one half mile distant where he lingered in great agony until 4 a.m.., when death relieved him. He will be sadly missed in the community as he was well liked by all. Funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church. - transcribed by Kim H
