Bertha M. Sanders, 82, of 304 Dunn Ave., died Tuesday afternoon in Culver Hospital. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and its Faithful Circle Sunday School class. She was educated in Bowers School. Mrs. Sanders was born near Darlington on Oct. 28, 1894, a daughter of Walter and Hattie Cook Schoen. She first married Oscar Wyrick in 1911. He died in 1937. She then married Arba Sanders in 1937, and he died in 1968. Surviving are a son, William David Sanders of Kingman; a brother, Charles Schoen of Darlington; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Leland Brett officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery near Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
