VEEDERSBURG – Arba G. Sanders, age 72, brother of Mrs. Virgil Pyle of Veedersburg and Mrs. Faris Starnes of Kingman, died Saturday night at his home in Crawfordsville after a lengthy illness. Mr. Sanders farmed in Parke County for 40 years and in Montgomery County 10 years before retiring to Crawfordsville. He was born in Parke County, Aug. 26, 1894, the son of William H. and Edna Delp Sanders. He was married at Sullivan in 1937 to Bertha Schoen Wyrick, who survives. He was a member of the Union Chapel EUB Church and the Farm Bureau. He was a graduate of Wallace High School. Surviving are: the wife; one son, William David of Darlington; two sisters, Mrs. Starnes of Kingman and Mrs. Pyle of Veedersburg, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. The Rev. John Servies officiated and burial was in the cemetery at Darlington. -– jlr
