SAMS, Wreatha - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Crawfordsville – Wreatha Marie Hanthorne Sams 83 formerly of Attica died at 10:30 a.m. Friday Feb 11 in AMI Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville. She had been a patient there one week and a resident of Williamsburg Healthcare Center the past 3 years. Born Sept 27, 1910 in New Richmond, she lived in Attica for several years, then returned to Linden and lived there 12 years before moving to Crawfordsville in 1978.  She attended Attica High School and worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for several years. She later owned and operated Sams Antiques in Linden. Mrs. Sams was a member of Ellettsville Church of Christ and Ladies of the Moose in Crawfordsville. On Nov 29, 1934, she married Asa Hanthorne in Paris, Ill.  She married Orval Sams on Jan 31 , 1961 in San Bernardino, Calif. They preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Cindy) Hightower of Crawfordsville; three sons, Dean Hanthorne and Dan Hanthorne both of Attica and Ron Hanthorne of Stone Bluff
