Louie E. Sams, 77 of 1106 E. Market St, died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. He had retired in 1966 after 26 years with the railroad. Mr. Sams was born Feb 24, 1903 at Fairmount, Ill, a son of Nathan and Cora Mormon Sams. He married Hazel Lockard May 20, 1927. (smudged hard to read) She survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Lillian Hartley of Kingman and Opal Allen of Waveland. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends mayy call in the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. - kz
