Alva R. Sams, 61 of 517 Brown St was found dead in his room early Wednesday evening. He died of an apparent heart attack. Born in Faimount, Ill, he resided in Cayuga prior to moving to Lafayette 20 years ago. He had been employed by the Schwab Safe Co for a number of years. Surviving are five brothers: Lonnie Sams of Attica; John Sams of Romney; Louie and Orville Sams of Crawfordsville and Fermer Sams of Newport and five sisters: Mrs. Albert Hazelwood and Mrs. Earl Hartley both of Kingman; Mrs. Phoebe Bell of Frankfort; Mrs., Mabel Ellis of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frank Allen of Waveland - kbz
