Veedersburg—Sarah E. Sample died at the home of her son, Ora Sample, south of Veedersburg Monday evening. She was born Oct. 1, 1855 in Fountain County, the daughter of John and Mary Rayle Carter. She married Jacob Sample Dec. 9, 1875 who preceded her in death. She had been bedfast since she fell and fractured her hip a year and a half ago. Mrs. Sample was one of the oldest residents in Fountain County and a member of the Centennial United Brethren Church.
She is survived by one son, Ora, of Veedersburg.
Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Centennial United Brethren Church with the Rev. Leslie Smith officiating. Burial in Centennial Cemetery with Fishero Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The body will be taken to the home of the son, Ora, Tuesday evening at 4:00. – S&E
