Covington—Martha Jo Samford, 50, Murfreesboro, Tenn., died Friday, Jan. 13, 1989, at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.
  She was born Nov. 13, 1938, at Paris, Ill., the daughter of James W. and Bessie Reed Todd. She was married Jan. 23, 1954, to Dale Samford, who survives.
  She was a graduate of Paris High School. She had been a resident of Murfreesboro 18 years and was a former resident of Covington and Veedersburg. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington.
  Surviving besides her husband are her parents of Covington; three daughters, Mrs. Barry (Vicki) Greening, Rock Vale, Tenn.; Mrs. David (Debra) Chamberlain, Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Michael Lee (Linda Joe) McAnly, Lawton, Okla.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Betty** Hornbrook, Marshall, Ill., and Ann Todd, Indianapolis, and a brother, James Todd, South Bend.
  Friends may call one hour before funeral services at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the First Baptist Church of Covington. The Revs. Henry Stidham Robert Shotts and Richard Baker will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. – thanks to S
