Kingman – Ida M. Saltsgaver, 81, Rt 1, Kingman died at 2:30 a.m. today in Covington Manor Nursing Home. She had been ill about six months.  Mrs. Saltsgaver was a member of Gessie United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid of Wallace Christian Church and Chapter 302, Order of Eastern Star. She was a former employee of Industrial Gloves and JC Penney both at Danville, Ill. She was born May 17, 1897 near Foster, a daughter of Joseph P and Luella Hartman Gouty. She was a graduate of Covington HS.  On March 19, 1919 she married Dewey Saltsgaver who survives. She had been a resident of Rt 1, Kingman since 1956 and had formerly resided at Danville for 25 years.  Also surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Truxton (Mavia) Older and Mrs. Eileen Poll both of Danville, Ill; a nephew, Raymon Remster of Devila Lake, ND; and two great nephews, Robert G. Gouty of R 3, Covington and Keith Gouty of Covington. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with the Rev. Tom Wallace officiating.  Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday with the family present 3-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m.

Mrs. Ida M. Saltsgaver, 81, of Kingman Route 1, died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 1979 at the Covington Manor Nursing Home. She had been ill six months.
  She had been employed for several years at Industrial Gloves and the J. C. Penney’s Store, both in Danville.
  She was a member of the Gessie United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid of the Wallace Christian Church and Perrysville Chapter 302 Order of the Eastern Star.
  She was a graduate of Covington High School.
  A resident of Danville 25 years, she had resided on Kingman Route 1 since 1956. She had resided in Foster in her early life. She had spent winters in Tucson, Ariz., for the past 18 years.
  Born May 17, 1897, near Foster, she was the daughter of Joseph P. and Luella Hartman Gouty. She was married on March 19, 1979, to Dewey Saltsgaver, who survives.
  Other survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Truxton (Mavis) Older and Mrs. Eileen Poll, both of Danville; a nephew, Raymon Remster of Devils Lake, N.D.; and two great-nephews, Robert Gouty of Covington Route 3 and Keith Gouty of Covington.
  She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
  Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. The family will be present from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
