SACKMIRE, Ruby Mae - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

GARLAND, Texas – Ruby Mae Sackmire, 95, Garland, Texas, formerly of Kingman, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Garland. She was born May 28, 1911 in Kingman, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Mitchell) Sackmire. She was a dietitian at a V.A. Hospital in California for 20 years and during World War II she was a riveter in a naval ship building yard in California. She attended Kingman High School. Survivors include: a sister, Mildred (Al) Grannoun, Indianapolis; a brother-in-law, W. D. Wallace, Garland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Wallace and Ruth Hoover; and four brothers, Harold, Lloyd, Lex and Russell Sackmire. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hall Funeral Home, Kingman, with Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. – jlr
