SACKMIRE, John - Henry

Henry Sackmire, widely known resident of the south part of Fountain County, died suddenly about 9 o'clock Saturday morning with a heart attack. His death occurred while riding in an automobile with his nephew, Harold Sackmire, as they were enroute to their farm east of Kingman. Born in Parke County, Jan 20, 1871, the oldest son of Gephart and Eliza Sackmire, he has lived in the immediate section his entire life. He was married to Alice Allen, who died several years ago. In 1911 he was married to Clara Ratcliff, who survives. Mr. Sackmire operated a livery business and later was in the automobile business in Kingman. He was a member of the United Brethern Church and Royal Arch Mason. Besides the wife, two grandchildren and sevearl nephews and nieces survive. Funeral services were held Monday with burial at the Fraternal cemetery. Pall bearers were members of the Masonic lodge.
